Marrying The God Of Craftsmanship! - Chapter 20: The Married Couple? (2024)

Artemis was staring at the moon in a cold chilly night. The Goddess of the moon let out a soft sigh before glancing at the home of the God of Craftsmanship.

This is something that she had expected. Asche won't come back with Artemis to her Forest if the Nymph was already with Hephaestus. However, it doesn't mean that Artemis would back down either.

She promised to the Queen of Olympus that she will return Asche with her, and she doesn't intend to break her promise with the Queen. Besides, there was something interesting that caught Artemis' eyes.

Aphrodite...

The Goddess of Beauty, what is she doing with Hephaestus and Asche? And why was she in a child form? Not only that, it seems like Aphrodite treats Asche as if she's her mother. Her interaction with the Nymph must be the reason why Dionysus mistook Aphrodite as Hephaestus' and Asche's offspring.

Artemis sighed before massaging her temple.

Because of Dionysus' wrong information about Aphrodite, Hera was now furious after hearing that Hephaestus impregnated Asche. But this problem wasn't the most critical for now.

"That child is Aphrodite... Aphrodite, Goddess of Beauty," Dionysus who had a traumatized expression on his face mumbled. The poor winery God was cramped on the corner while grabbing his hand. "Oh, maybe I'm just drunk?"

Drunk?

He's not (Lol).

Artemis glanced at the Winery god. A soft frown appeared on her face before returning her gaze at the moon.

"Get a grip on yourself, Dionysus," Artemis told him. The Goddess closed her eyes, holding her bow tightly. "Although you gave us the wrong information about Asche's supposed to be offspring, you did a great job covering Aphrodite's traces by doing so."

Dionysus raised his gaze, his eyes were looking at the Goddess like a puppy. After three days of being bullied by the Daughter- Father duo, he finally heard a praise from the Moon Goddess.

Artemis shook her heard upon seeing the the expression from the Winery god.

If Dionysus didn't mistakenly thought that Aphrodite was Asche's child with Hephaestus, the other deity will probably figure out that Aphrodite was with them. This will probably cause more problem with Asche too.

In fact, the rumor will probably put Aphrodite into a good situation...

However...

"I wonder how Olympus will take this situation if they revealed that Aphrodite was with Hephaestus...." She mumbled to herself.

Either way, Artemis needed to convince Asche to return to Olympus...

That is her only goal.

•••••••••••••

"Asche, I told you to rest," Hephaestus mumbled when he noticed that Asche's was still wide awake. "Your body was still weak, I don't know where are you getting your energy to stay awake..."

Asche only smiled like a fool.

"I know, I am just really pleased with this situation, but is this really necessary?"Asche asked while staring at Hephaestus.

Hephaestus only stared at her face. Soon, his blue eyes trailed at the hands of the Nymph, they were wrapping around his waist while her head was resting on his arm.

Indeed, the Nymph was enjoying this situation...

"It is..." Hephaestus mumbled before glancing at the moon through the window. "I need to make sure that no other deity will take you away from me again."

Asche blinked her eyes when Hephaestus said that. She noticed the expression on his face when he uttered those words. He was serious, really serious. Asche gasped when Hephaestus returned his gaze to her.

A small smile appeared on his face.

"However, although I needed to watch over you for tonight, It was you who put us into this situation," Hephaestus mumbled with a smile. Asche's face turned red, but her shameless must be above the roof that she just kept hugging the deity. "I don't need to lay here with you, but you wanted this."

The nymph cleared her throat. There was still a blush on her cheeks.

Why is she blushing? It should be the other way around!

"Ahem, you used to blush when I do this, Why aren't you blushing anymore?" Asche questioned him.

Haphaestus leaned close to her face.

Why is he being so forward today?! Wait, Asche was the one who's being forward!

"I decided that I should get used to this from now on," Hephaestus mumbled softly. The god of Craftsmanship chuckled before caressing the Nymph's green hair. "Go rest, you'll need energy for tomorrow, we'll settle our problem with Artemis..."

Asche cleared her throat once again.

"O-okay...?"

She quietly buried her face on Hephaestus' chest.

ACK, she can't believe he's giving her permission to do this!

She can die in peace now--- wait, that's not a good idea. She doesn't want to die again.

"You two, when will you stop flirting? Have you forgotten that I am also here?" Aphrodite's high pitched voice suddenly echoed the room. "Have manners, there's a child here, I'm also trying to sleep."

Asche giggled when she heard Aphrodite's voice. The Young Goddess was hugging her on her belly with a frown.

Before Thanatos took Asche to the Underworld, she remembered that Aphrodite's appearance was already almost comparable to a 16-year-old teenager. However, it seems like Aphrodite returned to her child form when Asche saw her again.

Hephaestus explained to her that Aphrodite had already unlocked her true power after Thanatos took her to the Underworld, and by using her power, Aphrodite choose to take her child form as her current appearance.

"And stop being clingy to him, Mother, hug me too," Aphrodite groaned.

Asche sighed.

It also seems like Aphrodite refuses to call her 'Sister' like Asche requested. No wonder why Dionysus thought that she's her daughter and spreaded this fake information through the whole Olympus, it even reached to Hades himself.

"Seriously... What happened to you guys while I was gone?" Asche asked with a sigh.

Aphrodite hugged her tightly while Hephaestus didn't even spoke a word.

Both of them didn't answer. Asche sighed and decided to close her eyes. She's not that dumb. She saw that deadly weapon when Hephaestus returned earlier. Any person, deity or not, alive or not can probably feel the danger coming from that weapon.

Did he create that weapon to take her back?

But it doesn't seem like Hephaestus started a war.

No, Hephaestus is a craftsman, not a war God. He's much more calmer than Ares and his father.

She didn't know what happened in the underworld when Hephaestus went there with Aphrodite, but she's glad because it doesn't seem like Hephaestus did something to anger Hades.

"What happened in the Underworld?"

Asche felt Hephaestus sighed.

"Rest... I'll tell you tomorrow."

Asche slightly frowned.

"Seriously, I am really curious about what happened---"

Hephaestus cupped her cheeks making Asche stare in his eyes directly.

"Rest, or I'll sleep in my room?"

Asche quickly shuts her mouth before burying her face on his chest. She's not a idiot to let this man get off of her bed.

••••••••••••••••••
