I must start off by saying that I never expected to love these hemp hearts so much, as I have said before I know how great hemp is but have not really used hemp a lot until 2013. I love the flavor of the hemp hearts, they kinda remind me of a mix between sesame seeds & sunflower seeds in taste & I really like that. I will be

Ok so I was looking for quality Hemp products & I came across Manitoba Harvest & started reading the info on their website, I could almost taste how good their hemp was just by reading all the information. So I knew I must contact them, I got a hold of Sarah and she was great to work with & offered me the Hemp Hearts to review & to giveaway a bag to one of my fans. They mailed the product fast to.
Hemp great for my whole families nutrition, we love to eat them straight, in Smoothies, Protein shakes & I have even added them to baked goods, mashed potatoes, soups & chowder, on ice cream on & on, and I ground them up & used them as well in things like gravies. (not to worry there are 8 of us so we did not eat to many in one day with only an 8 oz bag 🙂 ). And I will share my favorite Smoothie recipe with you too.
My Teenagers really loved the flavour of the Hemp Hearts & added them to the smoothies they made & on salads. My 10-year-old daughters favorite use was peanut butter on crackers or tortillas & sprinkle on hemp Hearts, my other daughter added them to Scrambled eggs. The uses are endless.
Healthy Smoothie:
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1 tbsp frozen berries of choice
- 1 tsp organic naturalchocolate chips
- 1/2 cup (or more) of ice crushed
- 1/2 cup of juice or milk of choice
- 1 tbsp hemp hearts
- 1 tsp raw coconut oil
- Blend in blender until desired smoothness
I want you to know I will be getting more of the Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts & hoping to try a few of their other products as well, like Hemp Protein Powder, Hemp Oil, and maybe even a Hemp Starter pack for someone I know. One thing I know for sure is these awesome Hemp hearts are firmly on my “Cheree’s Favorites” list, & because my family loves them so much they are on my “Family Wishlist”
