The music and the character of Harley Quinn were the only things that no one could say a bad thing about. Her character was the cherry on top. Maybe it was the only thing that made us stick to our screens till the end. Even David Ayer said that he apologizes for the mistreatment of the character.

This movie started the #ReleaseTheAyerCut. Because, as we know, the movie was facing a lot of criticism, Ayer announced that they might release a director’s cut of it, but Ann Sarnoff denied it, and Ayer handed the legacy of Suicide Squad to James Gunn.

With such a great cast and an all-women lead role, the movie was expected to be a blast, but something’s expectations made the outcome look less. The movie was nominated for 57 awards, of which it won 12 and 2 runner-ups.

About time is a fictional thriller movie that is about Tim Lake, who possesses the power to travel in time. He intends to use it for good causes and even events of the past so that he can create a future with his love. The history of all the sci-fi time-traveling movies says it all. Don’t mess with the past. Traveling in the past and trying to change it definitely gave Tim a hard time.

Based on the book of the same name by Michael Lewis, The Big Short is a comedy drama showing the 2007 housing market crash. The story is about three separate people leading to one end.

A movie that Tarantino himself agreed is his best movie in The Howard Stern Show in November 2022. Who are we to argue on that? Only Tarantino could slay out such a vast cast, concept, story, and so many easter eggs, cultural references, historical accuracy, character controversies, and references to his other movies. The movie is bliss for the people who loved 60s Hollywood.

The story doesn’t revolve around one person. The screen time given to every character was almost similar. Moreover, the story shows the struggle of an actor who is trying to cope with the fast-changing Hollywood film industry in 1969 in Los Angeles. The final moments of the film are a perfect example of Hollywood’s golden age.

The narration and screenplay is the most appreciated aspect of the film. Keeping up with so many surprises won’t have been easy. Inspired by true events and characters, merging them into fairy tales created a whole new era for Quentin Tarantino.

Some critics from The Hollywood Reporter called this movie “Tarantino’s love letter to the ’60s LA,” which defines the movie in one line. Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood was nominated for 190 awards and won 48, including Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor (Brad Pitt) and Best Production Design.

1. The Wolf of Wall Street

Based on the memoir of the same name by Jordan Belfort, The Wolf of Wall Street is Scorsese’s highest-grossing film. This movie was a breakthrough for Robbie. A movie that received criticism and love of the same amount. The film was nominated for a total of 82 awards and won 22 of them.

The explicit drug use, the use of curse words, and sexual content made The Wolf of Wall Street a topic of gossip. The film even set a Guinness World Record for the most instance of swearing words.

The story is about a stockbroker, Jordan Belfort. At first, he gets a job at L. F. Rothschild, but he loses his job because of the largest one-day stock market drop. Later, he finds himself at a boiler room brokerage firm, where he teaches his fellow workers about pump and dump (which surely is a fraud).

Cutting short, he later opened his own company Stratton Oakmont which was based on all the illegal terms we can use here. The story ends badly for him because of his drug exploitations and illegal work practices.
